APPROVAL OF GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK CONTRACT FOR THE BAY HAVEN SCHOOL OF BASICS PLUS ADDITION AND RENOVATION PROJECT
Description
This contract initiates "Phase I - Long Lead Time Items with Procurement" contractually covering the items required to be purchased and the scope of construction work required to commence prior to the remainder of the project completing Design and Procurement. The project's complete scope of work shall include Construction Management at Risk Services for the addition of new Kitchen, "Cafetorium", Media Center, four Skills Laboratories, Custodial Receiving, Music Classroom Suite, and the relative adjacent common spaces. This project also includes substantial sitework, relocation of the existing bus loop and parking lot, demolition of the existing buildings being replaced, and removal of five existing portables. The project will be multi-phased with the remaining phases executed via change orders amending this contract. The total construction budget is approximately $8,300,000.00. This contract is available for review at the Construction Services Department. The School Board attorney has approved the use of this contract. Initials funds for this contract are available
Recommendation
That the Guaranteed Maximum Price Construction Manager at Risk contract for the Bay Haven School of Basics Plus - Addition and Renovation project be approved as presented.
